Research topics

We detect, analyse and synthesize faces for Video-Telephony, Man-Machine Interaction and Software Radio. Forces are concentrated on 2D and 2.5D Active Appearence Models (AAM) for wich we develop different pre-processing and new optimisation algorithms. Those AAM are implemented in real-time for embedded systems.

IMMERSIVITE

IMmersion dans un environnement de forMation convERsationnel, expresSIf et VIrTuEl
Integration of man-machine interfaces for serious-game. The objective is to increase the interaction efficienty between students and virtual characters.
Regional "PME" project funded by Région Bretagne.
2011 - 2012
Leader: Dialonics.
Partners: CERV, Dynamixyz, Supélec, Virtualis.

IMMEMO

IMMersion 3D basée sur l'interaction EMOtionnelle
Web site : WWW
This industrial research project aims at designing a plug-in making it possible to capture and recognize the expressions of the face of a person immersed in a 3D virtual world for serious-game. The plugin will facilitate her interaction with an autonomous conversational agent (ACA) of which the behavior will adapt in a semi-automatic way to that of learning immersive person.
National collaborative project "ANR - CONTINT"
2010 - 2012
Leader: Supélec
Partners: Artefacto, Institut Telecom, ISIR.
Contributions:
   3D virtual world: Artefacto
   Facial expressions analysis: ISIR, Supélec
   Multi-modal interaction: Institut Telecom
